“Compass Max very reliable”

Overall: I’ve used Compass Max for over 25 years now. It’s extremely user-friendly. It handles all my route needs, email marketing, total inventory control, and automated assembly that is fantastic! Also, tech support is always quick and accurate.

“Terrible support”
Pros: Nothing, very complicated, reporting is complex

Cons: Tech support is a joke. On hold for hours, and if you leave a call back message, it’s always the end of the day when they call back. When they do call back the tech’s either don’t know what they are talking about or it’s like they are being bothered. Not helpful at all. Very rude.

“CompassMAX was the King”
Overall: My experience with CompassMAX was positive, although it has been retired now. We are better for having used it.

Pros: This POS allowed us to start barcoding items and using computer assisted assembly.

Cons: No new updates. All updates lagged behind competitors.

Alternatives Considered: DCCS for Windows

Reasons for Switching to Compassmax: DOS was outdated a decade ago when we switched to windows and CompassMAX.

“Tech support is the worst. 2 hour hold times. Unwilling staff that does not want to help out.”
Pros: Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Cant do anything on this system without help from tech support which is bad.

Cons: The staff is horrible at helping when something goes wrong. They act dumb and try not to help even though they are fully aware of whats going on
